The Iron Man (for couch potatoes)

This great event was the brain-child of a Flint newspaper employee (Matt). He and his wife open their home to 44 contenters (and then some) to compete in a grueling competition of Ping Pong, Air Hockey, Basketball and Darts. It was a wild night of good fun, a few shots and good food! :)



Jenny is not necessarily a fooseball champion...but she did tie this game!


Misty rocked the house...but alas, was defeated in the semi-finals.


Not just everyone gets an award for being "special". I warned Misty this would hit the web :)


After two the jello shots marked with a "T", we discovered that the 'T' stood for Toxic. Bottoms up!


The big winners! Ol' Jeff came back from being the 19th seed to taking third! Go Jeff! Go Jeff!

Erasing the picture

We've had such odd weather that we woke up to crazy fog Thursday morning. It looked to me like someone was erasing the picture...it was too cold and I was wearing heels otherwise I would have busted out to the field so I could have gotten the picture without those stupid pine trees in the way. Oh well.

A Visit to Papa Mark and Nana Sue's

After many phone calls and pleadings, Jenny couldn't take the asking from Ethan any more so over they came to see Papa Mark and Nana Sue. He knows right where the good toys are (the Little People Airplane (yes from when I was little), Hospital (replete with ambulance and stretcher), and Clubhouse. Papa Mark got him hooked on his own "coffee" (hot chocolate) with heaps and heaps of marshmallows. Jenny has been going to massage school so she was working over my dad and Ethan couldn't resist getting in the action. At one point Carter was in full help mode also as he thought it was hysterical to slap my dad's back just has his mama was.

Subzero.

For those of you out-of-staters, yes it was really, really, really cold here. Most schools were closed due to the below zero temperatures and wind chill (sissies). As the sun was going down I couldn't resist braving the cold for some cool drifts showing up on Flajole Road.

Really! We did it all by ourselves!

This is the quilt Jenny and I "whipped up" last summer. Trust me, there was no whipping - it took from roughly June - Sept. And NO those circles are NOT appliqued, they're really sewn in. It's actually a funky piecing technique we found in a book. We thought we did pretty darn good job for not knowing a lick about quilting...except how to run the sewing machine. Yes, it looks like the black and whites are at funky angles rather than square (that's why we liked it) and believe it or not they are square.

And then there was Grey...

Can you tell I'm in the "baby time" of life? That's the good thing about being the Ciocia - I get to do all the snuggling, lovin, and picture taking of all the cute babies. This is Shea and Steve's little Grey. We went to church, out for breakfast and then had an irresistible photo session. He looks just like his pops and has the energy of both of them - he just hasn't quite figured out that whole sleeping at night thing.
