Cooooookies....

Jeff, Jenny, Ethan and Carter stopped over for a visit just in time to help decorate cookies. Nana Sue is a professional froster and the rest of us are professional eaters.

Photo Booth Rocks!

The new Macs have this awesome feature called photo booth where you push the button, wait for the countdown and presto - you have an instant picture. Here are two from a recent visit with Ethan and Carter. Poor Carter didn't know what hit him and Ethan just couldn't quite get the 'sticking out the tongue' theory.

Ho. Ho. Ho.

My dad learned this trick from my grandmother...JUST TEAR THE PAPER! He carefully cut all of the tape with his knife while we dutifully heckled. It wouldn't be a Christmas at the G's without heckling. See what you missed Stacey? :P

Needless to say there was a lot of laughing over this one...doesn't everyone want a bath wand for Christmas? Let me know next year and I'll tell Santa to add it to your list.

And what would Christmas be without a little Christmas Story to brighten your day (just don't shoot your eye out)? We promised my brother that we'd get him a leg lamp for is front window next year.

Birthday cake...finally!

As many of you have heard - I was lucky enough to have received the flu for my birthday. Yesterday the birthday cake was officially broken out. I don't recommend getting the flu for your birthday...or any day for that matter.

A rose is a rose.

If you're ever driving down Ashman, Smith's Flowers has a sign that lists a name, and if the name is yours, viola, free rose. I recommend keeping your eyes on the sign. :)

Just one more round.

If you've never played cards with Jenny, I put the warning out now. She's a very competitive player and this look of crazed mania is one we've seen often. It's been a long time since we've stayed up that late...and that is a direct thank you to ol Jenny saying, "c'mon just one more round". Famous last words.

There is a card game that I picked up from Ryan's family called frustration...and trust me it's just that. I've seen wars started over this game in the past and last night we learned when you mix alcohol with frustration, an interesting evening ensues. And that would be Jenny's grabby hand taking a trick in the FIRST game of frustration. The first game came down to a duel between Lori and Jenny...however, Lori smoked us all in the end.

Alcohol + Frustration = Lots of giggling and *ahem* colorful language.

Taking a Break From List-making

I was lucky enough to be an elf at the Santa House a week or so ago and caught this picture of Santa taking a break from his list making. It was great fun and I highly recommend if you have kids that need to have a talk with Santa next year, put the Midland Santa House on your list. It snows inside the building!

Another sweet boy...

This is my friends Alisa and Marty's little boy Nikolas. I had to post this picture because it's one of my favorites from a recent slumber party with the girls...and one boy! That, and I'm torturing his mother who hasn't seen the photos yet because I still have the disk. Na, nah, na, nah, na.

How can you not love the power of nature.

That darn Ryan beat me to the post. That's what you get for giving the real photographer a tip. Tonight I came home and saw the northern lights and for all you city folks....this is what you get out in the country. Rock on. :)

The big 0-2

This is one of my Godchildren - Ella Wood, daughter of my friends Ryan and Angie. If you want to see some truly beautiful pictures, check out Ryan's blog at right...Wood Frames. Happy Two Ella!

Little Sydney

Just a fun picture of an adorable little girl I had the privilege to photograph. I've never met such a serious six-month-old. She is the daughter of one of the girls (Carla) on my softball team and is definitely a sweet little girl.

Welcome to the world of Kristy's blogland

I tried to hold out as long as humanly possible before falling victim to the world of blog, but alas, here I am. I'm still getting into the swing of things so don't hold your breath in between posts. :)
